To generate videos, select 'Veo 2' from the model dropdown menu in the upper left hand corner in Gemini Advanced. This AI feature creates an 8-second video at 720p resolution, delivered as a MP4 file in a 16:9 landscape format. Currently, Gemini only supports text-to-video generation, but we’re working on expanding this functionality in future updates.
Yes, you can create and share videos in your mobile Gemini app.
Video generation is available for Gemini Advanced subscribers, 18+, as part of the Google One AI premium plan in all languages and countries where Gemini Apps is available.
We’ve taken several important safety steps to make AI video generation a safe experience. This includes extensive red teaming and evaluation aimed at preventing the generation of content that violates our policies. Additionally, all videos generated with Veo 2 are marked with SynthID, a digital watermark embedded in each frame, which indicates the videos are AI-generated.
